Harris Trust became a registered charity in March 2021
Our aims are to:
1/ Raise awareness and provide training around neurodiversity and mental health
2/ Assist the provision of music and sporting activities and peer support
3/ Promote respect, acceptance and a sense of belonging

We have run successful music projects at Selkirk High Schools for junior and senior students in 2022/23 led by young adults, some of whom are neurodivergent.
We intend to expand the music programme into 4 High Schools for the 2023/2024 session

We are starting a pilot of Autism Friendly Rugby Sessions at Selkirk RFC for children age 7-11 years on 30th April

We have strong links with the Neurodiversity Research Team at Edinburgh University and are currently working alongside Scottish Borders Council and Education staff to increase awareness and training around neurodiversity for schools.
